Aerospace and Defence manufacturing requires a responsible, forward thinking and hi-tech approach to meet current and future standards, especially where aviation machining is concerned. That’s why the Di-Spark Group are serious about certification, quality control and keeping skill levels high.
Quality Control Within Aerospace and Defence Milling & Machining
Di-Spark are serious about quality management. We are an ‘Investors In People’ company, we are an SC21 sub-contractor (for wire erosion & spark erosion EDM, 5 axis machining, large part machining and multi-task milling and turning) and we are ISO9001 and AS9100(c) certified. Our plant list offers an impressive array of machining, finishing and inspection equipment – spread across our 4 main cells of operation and running 24/7.
Aerospace Manufacturing: Experience, Training and Fresh Blood
Consistent business excellence within aerospace and defence manufacturing references the past & the present in order to influence the future. A supply of of young talent is imperative, and our experience guides important decision making. At Di-Spark, we invest in apprenticeships – with our current apprentices hitting the ground running and proving themselves at an early stage and work closely with PETA. Our university connections attract talent from academic quarters and this area of networking is extremely important to us.
Electrical Discharge Machining: Spark Erosion & Wire Erosion
EDM is a serious machining process for serious manufacturing. Wire & spark EDM take off where tradition machining reaches limits, but that’s not to say that milling and turning is dead. Far from it. Multi axis milling and mill-turn machining have developed as fast as EDM – with current machines capable of multi-tasking from a single setup. But when it comes to accurate internal profiling or machining of hardened or exotic materials, EDM earns it’s keep.
