Di-Spark Ltd and Meggitt PLC have jointly pioneered a VMI agreement resulting in Meggitt PLC awarding Di-Spark Ltd with a VMI certificate. The Vendor Management Inventory achievement – a testament to commitments in Supply Chain Management by both Meggitt and Di-Spark – has been awarded in response to Di-Spark achieving 100% on-time delivery and 100% quality stats over the last 14 months.
This is a ground breaking achievement as Di-Spark are the first-ever Meggitt machining supplier to attain this accreditation.
Both Meggitt and Di-Spark have worked hard to secure the new agreement – progressing the partnership to enable Di-Spark to quality-check all Meggitt components. Di-Spark are certified to check goods in-house and subsequently send the components straight to build ops.
With Di-Spark creating 6 months of Meggitt stock and using MRP to control stock levels, Meggitt can now absorb components without having inventory issues.
