Running 24hrs a day, our spark EDM cell houses multiple, high specification & fully-automated Spark EDM machining centres. Spark electrical discharge machining is a smart choice for difficult-to-machine materials, such as hardened steels, stainless steel & titanium alloy. The spark erosion machining process is also a perfect solution for manufacturing complex profiles & awkward shapes efficiently & offers an alternative, leaner & innovative machining solution in cases where traditional based 5 axis milling & turning – or mill turn machining, would, perhaps, be long-winded and less cost effective for the customer.

Di-Spark carry significant spark EDM capacity, with each EDM machine offering 16 hours per day run time. We run current specification, fully automated (with robot handling) AgieCharmilles Spark Erosion Centres, capable of micro-machining and super-fine finish machining. Often employed for high technology manufacturing such as aerospace, defence, medical, pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas sectors and satellite machining, the spark EDM process is an intelligent decision for precise, complex machining requirements. Additionally, with capability to handle hardened materials much more efficiently and more accurately than 5 axis milling or mill-turn machining, spark EDM is often used for mission-critical component manufacture requiring high degrees of precision, strength and integrity.
