The Di-Spark Group and Astrium [an EADS company) are in talks with +GF+ AgieCharmilles to cover large component machining using Mikron HPM1350 high performance milling
The Di-Spark Group, well known for their 24/7 EDM and multi axis machining capability, are in talks with +GF+ AgieCharmilles towards acquisition of a Mikron HPM 1350 high performance milling maching to cover the machining of large parts and components. The Di-Spark Group attended the talks alongside supply chain partner, Astrium, an EADS company and a global leader in space, satellite, aerospace, defence and related services.
Key performance points of the HPM 1350’s large machining capability are as follows:
- Pallet magazine for the machining of large parts and components up to 1 ton
- Quick setup times: The work table and the loading stations allow optimal access
- Flexibility: The pallets can be manually turned 360°/ locked into 4 positions
- Accuracy: A swiveling control unit simplifies control and monitoring of the process
