The Machining of Corrosion Resistant & Non-Ferrous/High Alloy Components
Here at Di-Spark, Electrical Discharge Machining comes in two flavours: Wire and Spark EDM. Each of these processes is unique, but they share common ground in that, the cutting edge is a spark, meaning that EDM is a non-contact machining process. These machining processes are invaluable for valve & pressure component manufacture, because they are capable of machining extremely hard metals and difficult-to-machine alloys with ease. Oil, gas & high pressure industries often require components which are manufactured from corrosion resistant, often non-ferrous & high-alloy materials & such materials can be challenging to machine accurately, or cost effectively with traditional machining methods.
